中國館

我為中國館連排了三天隊, 直到第四天清晨五點到達了六號門, 又繼續等了四個鐘頭, 終於在安檢站拿到了中國館預約券. 當我在預定的時間進入中國館時已近黃昏, 看到“東方之冠, 鼎盛中華, 天下糧倉, 富庶百姓” 的場面,與我小時候離開中國時的兵荒馬亂情景是那樣強烈的對比, 我激動的心情實在無法用筆墨來形容.

China Pavilion

After three days of unsuccessful attempts to get a ticket to visit China Pavilion, I stood in line again at Gate Number Six of the Shanghai Expo at five a.m. At nine o’clock I finally got the advance ticket at the security check-point. As I entered the pavilion, what a sight of grandeur, prosperity and peace; such a contrast to the war-ravaged China I left as a child. There were no words that could describe how I felt.
